About the Competition
AYM yoga school in Rishikesh is organizing the 3rd Online International Yoga Championship, providing an opportunity for participants worldwide to showcase their yoga skills. The competition aims to identify talent in yoga, offer a platform for success in the field, and promote awareness and adoption of yoga, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Eligibility and Categories
- Open to participants of all ages from any part of the world
- Categories:
- Group A: 8 to 14 years
- Group B: 14 to 21 years
- Group C: 21 to 25 years
- Group D: 25 to 35 years
- Group E: 35 years and above
Competition Details
- Participants must submit a video of their performance, not exceeding 5 minutes.
- The video can include background music.
- Dress code:
- Men: Tight shorts
- Women: Swimming costume
- The syllabus for each age group includes a set of compulsory asanas to be performed, followed by the choice of additional asanas.
Registration
To register, participants need to send an email to aymyogaschool@gmail.com. The registration fee is 200 INR for Indian students and 10 USD for international students.
Rules and Regulations
- Registration deadline for the first round is 15th May 2023.
- Performance videos must be submitted before 15th May 2023.
- Selected participants from the first round will proceed to the final round, taking place at AYM Yoga School on 21st June 2023.
- Participants must disclose any apps used to enhance the video aesthetics and refrain from altering the video speed.
- Video quality requirements: minimum 12 MP camera, capturing the entire body within the frame, shot against a white backdrop, and wearing proper yogic attire.
- Videos should be saved on a social media handle and sent to aymyogaschool@gmail.com.
