The Bhaskaracharya Mathematics Talent Search Competition 2023 (BMTSC 2023) 2023-24 is a prestigious Mathematics Competition 2023 for School Students, initiated by Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana (BP). BP is renowned for its exceptional mathematics training and guidance, especially for students starting from the 5th standard onwards. Notably, it has played a significant role in preparing students for the rigorous selection process leading to the Indian team's participation in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Several BP alumni have earned medals at the IMO.
National Mathematics Competition 2023 Commencement
The BMTSC was launched in 2014-15 by BP to commemorate the 900th birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician Bhaskaracharya II. This annual mathematics competition at the school level serves as a fitting tribute to this iconic mathematician.

Registration for the BMTSC must be completed online between September 1, 2023, and November 30, 2023. The registration link is available in this listing.
Mathematics Examination 2023 Format
Two Rounds
The BMTSC consists of two rounds:
- Round 1: Objective; online, scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2023
- Round 2: Subjective; students are required to provide written answers with explanations on Sunday, February 4, 2024
Round 1 involves multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type questions. The question paper for Round 1 is also available in Marathi.
Advancement to Round 2
A portion of the top-performing students from Round 1 will be invited to participate in Round 2. Prizes will be determined solely based on the marks obtained in Round 2.
Prizes and Recognition in this Maths Competition 2023
The following prizes will be awarded:
- First Prize: ₹5,000 and a book
- Second Prize: ₹4,000 and a book
- Third Prize: ₹3,000 and a book
Additionally, "Cheer" prizes in the form of books will be presented to a percentage of the top students from Round 2. A special Nurture training camp will be organized for prize-winning students, and certificates will be issued to all participants in both rounds.
